ECHOES OF LITTLE BIGHORN
Encounter the Battle of the Little Bighorn
Distant Winds Tours provides the history enthusiast with literally an immersive experience with the primary characters and events that shaped this epic confrontation, often referred to as Custer’s Last Stand. We will put tour participants of the ground well beyond the bookshelf, providing a captivating opportunity to go back in time to that torrid two days in June where six hundred and forty-seven 7th Cavalry soldiers met nearly eighteen hundred Lakota and Cheyenne warriors, fiercely determined to hang on, to the last vestiges of their way of life. In the end, it is the goal of Distant Wind Tours, to create a deep and visceral understanding of the triumph and tragedy of the Battle of the Little Bighorn.

“On the back of that ridge–
It was apocalyptic chaos…the sky was raining arrows. Gunfire, smoke, yelling, screaming, cursing…
MORE AMMO! MORE AMMO! Eagle bone whistles shrieking across the battlefield in the dust and the smoke. Warriors getting closer, and closer and closer desperately trying to destroy the soldier command and save their very way of life.”
